Ultrasound assessment of ovulation

Purpose of the study

A method of imaging the development of ovarian follicles using ultrasound waves. Depending on the indications, transabdominal and transvaginal (transvaginal) probes are used. Indications for the study are menstrual cycle disorders, infertility.

The purpose of the study is to assess the development of ovarian follicles (ovulation).

The result of the test is provided in the form of a description immediately after the test.

Preparation for the study

For transvaginal examination, the bladder must be emptied.

For examination through the abdominal shell, the bladder should be filled.
