Purpose of the study

Prostate ultrasound is performed with an usg probe applied directly to the abdominal layers . The test includes an evaluation of the bladder, a general assessment of the prostate (prostate gland), and an assessment of urine retention after emptying the bladder.

Indications for prostate ultrasound are disturbing symptoms that may indicate prostate abnormalities, urinary disorders, abdominal pain.

The result of the test is provided in the form of a description immediately after the test.

Preparation for the study

It is essential to have a filled bladder for the test, for this purpose 1 hour before the test you should drink 1-1.5 liters of non-carbonated liquid and not urinate.
