Doppler of the carotid and vertebral arteries

Purpose of the study

It is a study of flow in the vessels of the carotid and vertebral arteries by ultrasound using color Doppler.

It allows recording the speed of blood flow in the examined vessels and detecting pathological changes such as narrowing or obstruction of arteries or veins, which can cause neurological disorders, i.e.: headaches, dizziness, fainting and the like.

The result of the test is provided in the form of a description immediately after the test.

Preparation for the study

The test does not require special preparation and is performed only in adult patients, is painless, and can be repeated many times without exposing the patient to harmful agents.
