Doppler of the abdominal arteries
Purpose of the study
It is a study of flow in vessels by ultrasound using color Doppler.
It makes it possible to record the velocity of blood flow in the examined vessels and detect pathological changes such as stenosis or obstruction of the arteries. The most commonly examined arteries in the abdominal cavity are the renal arteries - examining them allows the diagnosis of kidney disease or comorbidities, such as hypertension.
The result of the test is provided in the form of a description immediately after the test.
Preparation for the study
Preparation is required for the study:
- You should be fasting for 6 hours,
- Take espumisan 3 times a day the day before the test and twice on the day of the test.
The test is performed in adult patients, is painless, and can be repeated many times without exposing the patient to harmful agents.
